The C5-2 ultrasound transducer is a micro convex that is a variant of the convex probe. It comes with a smaller footprint which is just like the curved probe. With this compact size, this micro convex transducer may be better suited for the diagnosis of infants and toddlers.
This probe is designed to assist medical practitioners in neonatal and pediatric applications. As the convex transducer due to bigger footprint cannot help to perform proper scans of infants and children, this micro convex probe can be used to perform abdominal and vascular scans of children.
